How to make buras

Hellooo guys, welcome in our blog.

Ehemm... for the first chance,  I want to share about how to make one of the typical food from South Sulawesi (Bugis).
We know that most Indonesian people cook ketupat for Lebaran, however for the Makassar, Bugis and most of  South Sulawesi people like us, we cook buras. Probably some of you don’t know buras, therefore I give you the information about it and the way to make it.
Then...  let us refer to explanation about recipe buras.
The first thing is you have to prepare the tools and materials of course, because without tools and materials we can not make it hehe of course. The main material is rice, and usually better if we use Romo rice (good quality). My mother said that “if we use rice 1 liter we can mixed with coconut milk as much as ¾ liter and better if we use original coconut milk.”
To wrap up the buras, you should prepare banana leaves and straps, and for the last ingredients are bay leaf and salt. And also we have to prepare a steamer pan to cook it.
Next is the way to make it...

You should wash the rice while we heat coconut milk by steamer. Next, put the rice into the steamer and then stir well. Don’t forget to add salt sufficiently. Wait until half-cooked and then turn off the stove. After that, take the rice and wrap it with banana leaf and tie. Finally, steame the buras again until the color of banana leaves has changed be dark  brown. Jengjengjeeengg... buras are ready to eat!!!

Actually better  if we eat buras with Rendang, Coto Makassar, Soup, etc. Why I say that? Because I always do it and if you don’t believe me, you should try it Guys...!
