Storylines : The Good Dinosaur : Arlo is a dinosaur who in his childhood was
afraid of everything. Starting at the time he hatch with the smallest body
between his two brothers. But he was forced to find the courage that he never
knew after his father was killed. After falling and drifting by the stream near
his house, Arlo gets lost and finds a way back home. Along the way, he meets
some brave primitive dinosaurs and boys named Spot. From some of his meetings,
he learned what love and courage.
Rewiew : After a thousand years after the failure of the meteor to destroy
the dinosaurs, the dinosaurs survived and were not extinct. Not even the
extinction of dinosaurs made the earth rich in interesting species. From this
story, then humans were regarded as a wild creature who can not talk because it
is still primitive. That's where Arlo's story begins.
In a
riverside forest there lived a pair of apatosaurs, Henry and Ida. They have a
corn plantation and a chicken farm. Every day watering his garden and feeding
her chickens. At the same time, they have 3 eggs that will soon hatch. Two
medium-size eggs and one large-size egg. The first eggs were hatched and named
Libby and the eggs were named Buck and the third egg was named Arlo. Libby and
Buck hatches are born with normal weight body while Arlo is born with a small,
weak and timid weight body. Henry and Ida taught them to garden. Libby and Buck
have power in gardening and courage, but unlike arlo who are always afraid of
anything. Both siblings, always look at him cowardly. Arlo has always been a
timid person until he grew up.
Once,
arlo’s father invites arlo to pursue a human child named spot who stole his
corn. However, on that journey, his father fell into the river and was swept
away by a torrent, and was killed. Arlo is very sorry and blames Spot for the
death of papa henry. After his sobbing died, he meet again with Spot and he
continued to chase Spot so that they fell into the river and drifted away from
his home.
In
search of the way back to his house, arlo and spot become friends and help each
other in getting food. In journey, they also adventure and meet with trio
tyrannosaurus. From the meeting, arlo many get life lessons including to fight
his fear and help spot meet with his family. After a long journey together,
then the feeling of belonging to each other. At night, arlo and spot stop to
rest while talking about their respective families. So, Arlo intends to help
Spot to find her family. The next day, they continue their journey and find the
river that will bring it back to their home. In that journey, the spot was
stolen by a collection of birds and brought it to the river. And there was a
storm. Arlo tries to save spot. He tried to resist his sense of doom. River
water overflows with a very fast current. Arlo kept trying to save the spot and
was swept away, but both managed to escape.
After
a short break, they then continue the journey. On the way, the Spot family
showed up and invited her to come with them. But with a sense of belonging to
each other, the spot feels sad to release Arlo as well as a sad arlo off the
spot. But they had to split up so that the spot could be with his family and
Arlo meet with his family again. Spot goes with his family while Arlo continues
his journey and then meets with his family. In the journey that Arlo did, he
finally got his identity and managed to overcome his fear of anything.
And
the moral value in this stoty is Everything can be changed and improved and
started from oneself. Fear if obeyed will make good things worse. All will be
good if we overcome it because many great things in us. And the animation look
at real.
The lack of this story is the
many figures that are not clear the role in the story. Like a rhinocero.
