Story line :
65 million years ago, there lived the Apatosaurus family consisting of Henry as father and Ida as the mother who had Libby, Buck and Arlo dwarf children who had problems adapting to farm life. In the family Henry challenges his children to mark (muddy molds in the family corn silo) when they successfully complete a thing that becomes his specialty. While the success to give mud molds is Libby and Buck while Arlo who has a shy nature makes the task difficult for him. Henry directed Arlo to place his sense of responsibility for keeping the silo by capturing a small tarzan, due to the small tarzan that posed a threat to his family's food supply. But Arlo has no heart to kill him, and frees him. Henry was disappointed and took Arlo to track the little tarzan, on the way Henry saved Arlo from the flash floods before being washed away and killed.
They live without Henry and one day Arlo sees the same little tarzan in the silo and blames him for his father's death and chases him down into the river. Arlo can not swim, and slips unconscious. Upon awakening, she finds herself with a strange environment and forces herself to survive, but she gets stuck when a large rock clamps her feet. The next day Arlo wakes up and finds his feet released, and the little tarzan comes with food for him. The little tarzan took Arlo to the berry tree, suddenly the fall of a snake from the tree and the little tarzan parried it, Arlo quite impressed. Finally Arlo called the little tarzan with the name "Spot". Arlo and Spot missed her old family.
The next morning, Arlo wakes up to find Spot at his side. They are noticed by a group of pterodactyl who seems to be conducting a rescue operation but apparently want Spot. When pterodactyl tries to take Spot, Arlo and Spot to escape, occurs on a pair of Tyrannosaurus named Nash and Ramsey, who ward off pterodactyls. Nash, Ramsey, and their father Butch had lost their longhorn flock, so Arlo offered Spot's help to get rid of him. They find the herd, but Butch recognizes the cattle rustlers, and uses Arlo as bait. Arlo and Spot drew the attention of Velociraptors rustler, which allowed Butch and his family to attack. During the fight, Arlo uses his courage and changes the battles they like. After gaining their respect, Arlo joins T. Rexes in riding cattle in the south as he sees a known mountain peak in his distant homeland, and goes with Spot to return home. Along the way, they find a group of tarzan men in the distance, and though Spot shows interest, Arlo helps him and tells him to join.
Suddenly the storm hit, pterodactyl back and attacked and brought Spot away. Spot caught in a fallen tree, Arlo decides to save Spot. Arlo attacked pterodactyl, which had cornered Spot in the river. Arlo and Spot together drown pterodactyl into the water, so they are swept away. Arlo jumped into the water to save Spot as they drifted toward the waterfall. Arlo protects the Spot as the two fall off, and takes it to the beach.
As they approached Arlo's house, they both again heard the unknown human call, and were approached by the whole human family of caves. Reluctantly, Arlo encourages Spot to join her breed, and they both say goodbye while crying.
Arlo finally arrives home to his mother and siblings, and makes his mark on the silo between those of his mother and father.
Review :
In my opinion, this animated genre movie gives a message to the audience to be a human being who must be tough to fear and strive to what to achieve. Because that hinders us is ourselves. From this animation also gives me the knowledge that it turns out we can not get rid of fear. It's part of nature. We can not defeat or run from it but we can get through it so we will know what makes us afraid.
