Today AreaBelajar is going to share about the way to make Burasa. as we know that Indonesia is famous for its culinary variety. Especially in Makassar, there is a tradisional food that is always be cooked one day before Eid, yeps it is Burasa. okay Reader just right, let's cook burasa by following steps below.
Before we start to make Burasa, we have to prepare the tools and materials. The main ingredient to make Burasa is rice, (better if we use freshly ground rice ), the rice that we use is depend on us, but in this article, areabelajar use 1 liter of rice. The second ingredient is coconut milk as much as 3/4 liter. the third ingredient is salt to taste a little salty. the fourth ingredient is banana leaves as a wrapper and enough straps as a binder.
okay Reader, if you guys have prepared the ingredients above, than Let's moving to the way of making it.
The first step that Reader should do is washing the rice with water until it is completely clean and then drain it. Better if Reader Let stand the rice for a few minutes after Reader drain it. Then Reader should put the rice that has been drained to the pan and steam it until half cooked then put the rice into the basin. Next, Reader pour the coconut milk and salt to the half cooked rice in the basin then mix it well until coconut milk is absorbed. Steam back the rice during 15-20 minutes to get tender rice. After that, take the rice about 2 spoons then wrap it with banana leaf and tied with 2-3 ties. as Reader see the picture above tied with 2 ties, but it is Reader's choice to use 2 ties or 3 ties. Finally, Reader put the Burasa that have been tied to the pan then cook it during 40-60 minutes.
So guys, those are the steps of making Burasa, and actually it is not really hard to make burasa because the steps are very simple. Hope you guys can make a tasty Burasa by following steps above. Thank u ^_^
