Welcome to this blog. Here, I will share about the food from South Sulawesi.
Why from South Sulawesi? Because I’m from South Sulawesi and more preciely,
this is a task from my lecturer as final tasks, hehe.
The first,
I want to share about how to make buras. Do u know buras? Buras is one of special
food from South Sulawesi that packed by banana leaves and made from rice. It is similar to lontong, but with richer flavour
acquired from coconut milk. It always served in EId day. Wahh, very
appropriate, right? For next some days, we’ll celebrate Eid day. For u who
still do not have menu when Eid day, you can try to make this food. Let’s check
it out.
For
ingredients are not much, you can easy to find it in traditional market. They
are one liter of rice, one liter of coconut milk, salt sufficiently, salam
leaves or pandan leaves, banana leaves that have been dried to the limp,
strings, and scissors.
Oke, we
move to the steps. First, wash the rice cleanly. Second, cook the coconut milk
with salam leaves or pandan leaves, beat until boil. Eitss, do not forget to
put the salt. Don’t be wrong, okay? Make it sure it’s not sugar, hehe, peace.
Next, steam the rice and coconut milk in one pan until half blooded (until
coconut milk run out). Ready the banana leaves that have been cut with same
size. Then, put the batter on the leaf about two until three table spoon. Make
the formation of buras in two or three
rows and strap by strings. Steam again the rice that has been strap about one
hour (make sure for the string is not
loose). Raise and tadaaaaaaaaa ready to be served.

For make it more delicious, you
can eat with warm soups, like soto, meatballs, or maybe with some other special
food from South Sulawesi, like coto Makassar, konro, pallubasa, or
nasu palekko .
Nah, buras is ready. Because I had already mentioned about soups, then next I
will tell you about how to make chicken soup.
Chicken
soup is one of popular food in Indonesia. You can easy to find it in almost
region in Indonesia. But, you can try to make it in your home by yourself. Don’t
worry about the ingredients because it’s a simple soup and do not really need
many seasoning. About the taste is certainly delicious. Indonesians say,
enaaak. Arabs say, laziiiz. Korean say, masyita, hehehe. All of you must be curious,
right? Oke, let’s move to the next paraghraph.
Ingredients: one pack vermicelli, one pack sprout,
leek sufficiently, celery sufficiently, five cloves of onion or fried onion
ready to use, two limes, six foot of chicken, six breast of chicken, two
tomatoes, and one pack of sajiku taste soto ayam. It’s easy to find it, right?
Next move
to the steps. First, heat one liter of water, cook chicken and claw till boil.
Add sajiku spice, stir well. Then, after the chicken is tender, lift from the
gravy, then fry the chicken and shred. After that, add sliced tomatoes and leek
into
the gravy. Cook until cooked, turn
off the heat. Put slice of celeries and lime as complement.
Fry the slices of onion and put it into the gravy. Wash sprouts and vermicelli,
then soak in hot water until one minute and drain. Soto ready to be enjoyed.

For make
it more delicious, you can add egg and you can eat with lontong, ketupat, or buras.

Nah, we
have just already about the procedure of main courses. It’s not complete
without dessert. So, I will
share about one of the most famous desserts in South Sulawesi. The shape is spherical;
it can be white or green, but most of people prefer make it in green;
and there is brown sugar in it. Guess what, tik tok tik tok tik tok, time is
over :D and the answer iiiiiiiss onde-onde or klepon. Yap, and now I will tell
you about how to make it. The ingredients and the steps are very easy. You can
make it now.
The ingredients are 150 gram of glutinous rice flour,
150 gram of coconut, 125 ml of water, salt sufficiently, and 100 gram of brown
sugar (make it into small pieces).
The steps
are put the glutinous rice flour to the bowl, add salt, and pour the water
little by little while kneading until the
dough is smooth (put pandan pasta if you want to make green
onde-onde). Make the dough becomes small spherical, and put a piece of brown
sugar into it, do it for all dough. Then, cook in boiling water till onde-onde
afloat. Next, lift and roll
onde-onde on top of the grated coconut until blended.
The last, onde-onde is ready to be served.
