Traditional Cake Roko Roko Unti

This time, maybe I will share a different recipe from the previous one, I'am not handing out heavy food recipes any more. But, I will share to all of you guys, one of the traditional cake recipes from my hometown, Makassar. This traditional cake recipe is pretty easy to practice at home and the name of this cake is Roko Roko Unti.

Roko Roko Unti

Roko Roko Unti or means a cake wrapped in banana leaves. Yup! Roko Roko Unti is a cake made from rice flour mixed with coconut milk with contents in the middle is a banana fruit, then wrapped in banana leaf with rectangular shape. If you are curious about the taste of this cake, you can make it by following the steps below.

To make this traditional cake, we must prepare the ingredients. First, prepare 750 ml coconut milk, then 200 gr rice flour, 50 gr sago flour, add 75 ml water, 70 gr sugar, 1 tsp salt, 3 banana horns that have been cut. Lastly, prepare a banana leaf.

How to make this cake is quite easy. First, Boil the coconut milk, put rice flour, then stir on a low heat until thick, then lift. Second, Add the sago flour solution, enter the sugar and salt. Stir well. Third, Enter two tablespoons of rice flour dough onto banana leaf, then add one piece of banana horn. Then fold the rest of the leaves downwards. Lastly, steam for 20 minutes, and finally the cake is ready to be served.
